如果我有巴菲特的万分一的身家,我也不会学抄底。

TAGB 每股现金有 RM0.13,但负债是每股 RM0.41。

如果外围再次出现二次衰退,它不会太好过。

I'm holding TA since years of  2006 and still hold it. Your commend was respected, but i have something to share with you. From the record TA was paying dividend every years, 60% of the profit will go to dividend. When we value the company don't just compare the cash and dept, hardly for us to find company listed in bursah  without dept. To be fair we should look at NTA, 91 sen of NTA for TA and 43 sen for TAGB it mean if the company decided close shop every share still value that much. You said TA not a high dividend company,i think this also need to discuss. How you compare the dividend? for example digi RM1.50 a year consider high dividend? no this not the way, we should look at dividend / share price. For TA 2/56.5 = 0.035 and Digi 1.50/23= 0.065.  For TA it still better then FD. If the result continue for next two quat , 4 sen dividend for next year expected. TAGB since listing every years gave dividend is that not a good company?  NTA for TAGB maybe low, but the true value yet to be seen. All the land hold by TAGB was brought many years back and the value now should be four to five time. Take one example during listing of TAGB it only value  sri damansara  for RM198/ft^2 and now the true value is RM 700/ft^2. At present the profit for TAGB mainly from hotel, this is due to slow launching of new project. But last two months it launch Azilia and recently launch Canada project. Both of it have good respond, for Canada it already sold 48 % and Azilia all studeo unit fully sold. with hotel and property i strongly believe the profit will much much better. Remember new project in the pipe line all value  billion above. Of cause world economy  also a major factor, but it already factor in. To correct your statement , most of business for TAGB was in oversea, it hold no hotel in malaysia. And going to launch the Austarlia project soon. Buy share look for long term not short term.

Totally agree with ttlaw. It is undervalue company with more billion project going to launch..Got rumors said that TA is going to privatize. Anyone here know about this?

别误会,我不是说 TAGB 不好,只是价格高了些,
目前 PE 接近 14,与 KLCI 同步,它又不是高息股, ...

我不认同TAGB的Dividend Policy是60%的net profit来派的!TAGB是属于新的公司,开始的Dividend当然不可以用高息股来形容!可是你有想过当net profit逐年增加的时候呢?以现在这个价钱,股息超过FD是肯定的!PE 14 不值得投资吗?PE 高并不代表不值得投资,PE高有时代表着有future growth,如果每股盈利一直逐年增加,以现在这个价钱,你有想过PE会跌到多少吗?我不能猜测最底点,有可能会跌到你所谓的RM0.23 合理价格!现在外围不好,很多人害怕,好的公司也会被市场恐慌给抛售!可是,我要强调的是:投资要看公司未来的前景,而不是只看现在!成功的人是比别人更加快的看到未来!

当自己买进某家公司的股票后。很希望别人也追捧这家股票,所以尽量向亲友介绍这家股有多好、多强。
不管是同理心也好,或者情意结也好,在论坛也尽可能发表有利这家公司的讯息。这是人之常情。

自己不这么做的原因,非常简单。
第一是对于公司动向,我懂得不比在该公司工作的职员来得多。
第二是我不敢轻易介绍(或者说,我没有十足把握)。

观察公司动向,并非我的强项。如果对某家公司有兴趣,该公司的未来动向、资料,
多是从在该行业工作的朋友那里套取的。
如果某个人在相关行业工作,他们的资料,可靠、强很多。
没办法套取的,唯有等该公司在新闻会发布的消息。这些消息从报纸、杂志就可以知道了,通常没有什么指向性。
再说,我越来越明白宏观经济的重要性。如果整体经济好,或某个领域走势不错,投资什么公司,问题不大。

反倒是好像谢国忠等人,他们很少提出该投资什么公司。只是说明哪个领域会出现什么样的经济问题。
这个一般上都很准。

比如,套宏观经济角度,知道未来原油将涨价,投资那家相关行业不重要,几乎每家都轮流涨。
比如如果能准确预测未来棕油价格涨,投资那几家公司都行。

最重要的是,我只是路过的凡人一个,说了算而已。没有任何企图。只求心安就好。

KUALA LUMPUR: TA Enterprise Bhd (TAE) saw its net profit more than doubled to RM26 million for the second quarter (2Q) ended July 31 from RM10.4 million in the previous corresponding period, boosted by its hotel division.

Revenue was up 9% to RM156 million from RM143.5 million before.

For the six months ended July 31, TAE’s net profit soared 81% to RM59.96 million from RM33 million a year earlier. The 1H revenue grew 15.7% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM330.72 million from RM285.9 million previously.

The improved earnings were mainly contributed by TAE’s 73.4%- owned TA Global Bhd which runs the group’s hotel division.

In its results announcement yesterday, the group noted that its hotel division contributed 60% to its 1H revenue. Its broking and financial services division was the second biggest revenue contributor with RM67.97 million.

However, quarter-on-quarter, the hotel division posted lower gains of RM84.73 million in 2Q compared with RM115.67 million in 1Q.

On a group level, net profits fell 17.9% to RM34.41 million for 2Q from RM41.91 million in 1Q.

“The decrease in the group’s profit was mainly due to the decrease in contribution from stockbroking and TA Global’s property development and hotel division,” TAE said.

Revenue also slipped 10.7% to RM156 million in 2Q against  RM174.72 million in 1Q.

Interestingly, there was a sizeable increase in net cash used by the group in its investing activities to RM131.95 million for 1HFY12 from RM11.43 million for 1HFY11.

Moving forward, the group said it sees a potential softer growth in the hotel division’s revenue due to the worldwide slowdown and moderating growth in Asia.

This is particularly important as TA Global’s hospitality divisions are mostly in overseas locations, including Australia, Singapore, Canada and China.
TA Global’s overseas properties have a gross development value (GDV) of RM1.94 billion (Australia) and RM631 million (Canada).

The group expects a “satisfactory” performance for the rest of FY12 ending Jan 31.

Its net assets value per share in 2QFY12 was 91 sen, higher than the value in 2QFY10 of 87 sen. TAE has lost 17% of its share price since Aug 4 and closed at 56.5 sen yesterday.

KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Investment Bank Bhd has resigned as an independent adviser to KINSTEEL BHD’s corporate exercise, which includes a proposed restricted offer for sale.

According to a statement on Friday, Sept 23, OSK Investment Bank had resigned with effect from Thursday, citing that new developments had arisen which it believed would affect its independence to act as the independent adviser.

TA Securities Holdings Bhd was appointed as the new independent adviser to replace OSK Investment Bank.

The corporate exercise involved a proposed subscription of RM280 million nominal value of seven-year 7% redeemable convertible unsecured loan stocks issued by its subsidiary, Perwaja Holdings Bhd at 100% of its nominal value.
Kinsteel had proposed a renounceable restricted offer for sale of such nominal value of the RCULS held by it to the entitled shareholders of Perwaja, other than Kinsteel, on the basis of RM1 nominal value of RCULS for every two existing shares of RM1 each in Perwaja.

(吉隆坡21日讯)达全球(TAGB,5158,主板产业股)截至2011年7月杪财年次季,净利暴涨3倍至2968万4000令吉,上财年录得741万1000令吉。

次季营业额报1亿2804万7000令吉,上财年则为8310万5000令吉,按年增长54.08%。

达全球次季的每股盈利为0.56仙,较上财年的0.15仙劲扬2.7倍;本财年首两季的每股盈利累积至1.12仙的水平,上财年同期为0.54仙,按年增长107.4%。

达全球预计,本地房产需求将在本财年走软,同时,全球经济欠稳也将对其酒店业务的营业额增长造成冲击。

另外,达企业(TA,4898,主板金融股)截至今年7月次季,净赚2623万6000令吉,比上财年同期的1043万7000令吉劲飙1.51倍!

现财年次季营业额则提高了8.67%至1亿5600万3000令吉,上财年同期报1亿4355万6000令吉。

截至今年7月次季,该公司的每股盈利为1.53仙,上财年同期为0.61仙。

LISTED Malaysian property developer TA Global expects to launch a $600 million joint-venture residential development, Little Bay Cove, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, this month.


The project is TA Global's first foray into residential development in Australia.

The 50:50 venture is through Charter Hall Group's unlisted Charter Hall Opportunity Fund No 5.

TA Global executive director Kimmy Khoo said in Kuala Lumpur that the first sod was turned on the project in July.

The company expected its initial release of 30 townhouses and 40 apartments "this or next month".

Ms Khoo said her company shared development management of the two-stage project with Charter Hall.

"It is an alliance in which we each bring our expertise to the table," she said. "We hope to add value through our own experience in residential development in Malaysia.


She said some features of Damansara Idaman, an upmarket gated residential development in the Malaysian capital, would provide useful reference for Little Bay Cove."We see ourselves as a high-end developer and our products offering a lifestyle, not just a home."

Damansara Idaman, a large four-stage project, is adjacent to a country club in the sought-after suburb of Damansara.

It is one of several residential projects under development in Malaysia. "We won't be building cookie-cutter houses at Little Bay Cove. We are looking at individual designs for the homes," Ms Khoo said.

The project will include a mix of houses, townhouses and apartments, 500 in total, to be built over more than four years.

"We continue to look for opportunities in Australia," Ms Khoo said, adding that she had been offered many assets.

But she said: "We are very focused on what we buy.

"We have stringent investment guidelines, such as our hotels have to be corporate hotels or in resort areas."

She said TA Global arrived in Australia in 1997, when it acquired the Radisson Hotel in O'Connell Street, Sydney, from Westpac Bank.

It has recently renovated the hotel and lifted its historic dome to add two floors.

"We changed the name to Radisson BLU to reflect its upgrade to a luxury five-star international hotel," she said.

TA Global acquired the Westin Melbourne, again a corporate hotel in the central business district, for $160m in December 2008.

It has been buying hotels in quick succession in the past two years, building up a modest portfolio of five, valued at 2 billion ringgits ($646.5m).

It paid $S260m ($208m) for Swissotel Merchant Court in Singapore in 2009 and this year bought Swissotel Kunshan in China for $US60.7m ($63.5m).

It also owns Aava Whistler, a four-star hotel in Canada's snow country, bought in 2008.

These purchases prompted market speculation that TA Global was planning to launch an international hotel real estate investment trust.

Ms Khoo, the sister-in-law of TA group founder Tiah Thee Kian, declined to comment on these reports, except to say: "Our hotel operation is profitable."

But industry sources said TA Global had ambitions to list a REIT. "The only way to monetise its hotel assets is to list," a source said.

TA Global was part of TA Enterprise Berhad, founded in 1990 and one of Malaysia's largest brokerage firms, which ran two primary streams of businesses: financial services and property investment-development.

In 2009, TA Global was spun off, and listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange (Bursa Malaysia) in November that year.

Ms Khoo said TA Global, 74 per cent-owned by TA Enterprise, was the vehicle for the group's property development, asset management and landbank, and to diversify its businesses overseas.

It is one of the most active mid-tier property groups, with a list of residential and commercial projects in Malaysia.

Ms Khoo said the apartment market in central Kuala Lumpur was softening and the company was looking at the suburbs and commercial and mixed-use projects. One of its largest will be a 50-storey twin-tower mixed-used development in the "Golden Triangle" at the heart of Kuala Lumpur's CBD.

The 1.4 billion ringgit project will be on the prime site, where Menara TA One, its corporate offices, are located, near the landmark Petronas Towers.

Its only offshore commercial investment is Fortis BC Centre, in Vancouver, Canada.

CIMB Research has technical buy on TA Enterprise


KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Equities Research has a technical buy call on TA Enterprise at 55 sen, at which it is trading at a price-to-book value of 0.6 times.
It said on Wednesday, Oct 12 that it appears that TA has broken out of its downward slopping resistance trend line on Tuesday.

“However, we will only turn bullish if prices can push above its 30-day SMA, which is now at 56 sen.

“Once the 30-day SMA is taken out, expect buying momentum to pick up strongly. The next up-leg is going to lift prices towards 60 sen and 63 sen,” it said.

CIMB Research said the MACD signal line has staged a positive crossover while RSI has also bounced off its low. A slip below 53.5 sen would trigger its stop.

(吉隆坡23日讯)鉴于来自股票经纪和子公司贡献减少,达企业(TA,4898,主板金融股)截至2011年10月31日财年第3季,净利按年下滑26.5%至1173万令吉,上财年同期为1597万6000令吉。

第3季营业额则上扬12.9%至1亿7310万2000令,上财年同期为1亿5329万4000;每股盈利从上财年同期的0.93仙,减低至0.69仙。

累积3季业绩,达企业净利按年大涨45.9%至7168万8000令吉,上财年同期为4910万5000令吉。

营业额也增长14.7%至5亿382万4000令吉,上财年同期为4亿3919万6000令吉;每股盈利则从上财年同期的2.87仙,上升至4.19仙。[NanYang]
