George, are you sure this can pass high def 4k video at 60 frames per second? A review on Amazon clearly states this is an issue. It says we can only pass 4k at 24 to 30 frames per second. I'm thinking of taking mine back based off this review. Can you answer these concerns? Here's his review
1. NO support for the high-resolution lossless audio formats - such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, FLAC, Apple Lossless, etc. Yes, mind boggling, but true. Yes, other sub-$200 surround systems support it, but not this $1,500 Bose. Yes, pretty much any $200-$300 surround and/or A/V Receiver support it nowadays, but not this $1,500 Bose system. Yes, such high-resolution audio formats have become very popular after being around for years. Yes, this is a brand new Bose system. No, you can't even enjoy high-resolution audio produced by a simple $70 Blu-ray DVD player, Apple lossless music, or upcoming 4K content with high-res audio.
2. 4K video passthrough only supports 30Hz, not 60Hz. Again, this is provided by other very simple and inexpensive systems... but not this $1,500 Bose system. No 4K video upscalling either.

Here's the problem. Nobody wants to run an additional cable direct to their TV in order to solve the HDCP2.2 issue (This spec has been in the works for a long time). Bose needs to pull finger and get this sorted. Rogers in Ontario turned on HDCP 2.2 last week, now we are all in the dwang?!? We are paying, or are trying to pay,hard earned bucks for a quality product which clearly is not getting the job done, so please advise us what we need to get in order to overcome this issue. (Otherwise I am back to my Denon AVR-X4200W and all my big ass speakers - I may be better off).

ZigI purchased a Bose Soundtouch 130 which supports 4K passthru. At least until they came out with HDCP 2.2. I felt like i just threw a grand down the tubes. This will require a hardware replacement, not a firmware update to fix this. I purchase Bose because I considered them to be the very best when it comes to sound quality. You pay premium dollar, I expect premium sound and service in return. I had to run an optical cable from my Directv 4K mini to the bose system just to be able to view there 4K content. The problem comes when you try and watch a blueRay. You cannot listen to certain sound frequencies over an optical cable. Only HDMI has the bandwidth capable in producing the theater like quality we expect. I know technology changes so fast its hard to keep up. Bose should make these system's furture proof, similar to newer TV's. If newer hardware comes out, we should be able to purchase a new card, slap it in and maybe do a software update and boom were back in business. We shouldnt have to rig/run an additional cable. Thats really defeats the purpose and the calibration all together.
