Working experience and occupation

Datuk Seri Jamil began his career in Public Services in 1983 as a Senior Officer of Cultural, Youth and Sports in the Ministry of Youth and Sports. In year 1989, he was appointed as an Assistant Secretary for the Procurement Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs, and in year 1997, he was the Assistant Secretary of Ceremonies and Protocol Division under the Ministry of Defence. He was the Head of Planning and Development Unit for Prison Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs in year 2000, and later the Director of Development and Logistic for Prison Department in year 2004. In 2007, Datuk Seri Jamil served as the Director of Development and Procurement Division in Prison Department and the Deputy Division Secretary of National Key Results Area with the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2009. In 2010, Datuk Seri Jamil was the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and was promoted to Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2013. Datuk Seri Jamil in 2016 served as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism before retiring from Public Services in 2019.

Description	NOTIFICATION OF APPROVAL FOR THE DESIGNATION OF REDTONE ENGINEERING & NETWORK SERVICES SDN BHD ("RENS") AS A UNIVERSAL SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE JALINAN DIGITAL NEGARA (JENDELA) PHASE 1 (PART 2) PROJECT ("CONTRACT")
Query Letter Contents	We refer to your Company’s announcement dated 27 October 2021, in respect of the aforesaid matter. In this connection, kindly furnish Bursa Securities with the following additional information for public release:- 1) The value of the Contract, or the basis of determination thereof. 2) The tenure of the Contract, including the commencement and completion dates. If the Contract is subject to renewal, to also state the details of such renewal. 3) The risks in relation to the Contract. 4) Whether the directors and major shareholders of REDTone Digital Berhad and/or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract, and the nature and extent of their interests.
We refer to the announcement dated 27 October 2021 in relation to the Contract (“Announcement”) and the queries from Bursa Securities dated 28 October 2021 in relation to the Contract (“Bursa Query”). Unless otherwise stated, all abbreviations used herein shall have the same meaning as those mentioned in the Announcement. The Company wishes to announce the following additional information as required by Bursa Securities pursuant to the Bursa Query. Query 1:    The value of the Contract, or the basis of determination thereof. Reply:        The value of the Contract has not yet been determined as of the date of the Notice of Approval. Following the Notice of Approval, RENS is required to submit  a revised draft universal service plan to MCMC with technical and financial proposals. Query 2:    The tenure of the Contract, including the commencement and completion dates. If the Contract is subject to renewal, to also state the details of such renewal. Reply:        RENS’ designation as a universal service provider for the Project is as a Part 2 service provider. The tenure of the Contract is five (5) years and the commencement date will be determined upon the handover in writing by the Part 1 service providers of the telecommunications towers. The renewal of the Contract will be determined by MCMC prior to the expiry of the Contract. Query 3:    The risks in relation to the Contract. Reply:        Save for normal business and global economic risks, the Management of REDtone is not aware of any other risk factors which may arise as a result of RENS’ participation in the Contract.
