拥有数个广播频道和印刷出版刊物的首要媒体表示：“业务转型旨在让集团在中长期内建立一个强大且可持续的商业模式。”

该集团补充：“在必须进行人力合理化之下，集团作为一个负责任的企业，将确保受影响的员工获得公平合理的薪酬方案，遵守法律和各自工会的集体协议。”

加快转型计划是由于媒体领域的颠覆性变化、宏观经济环境具挑战，以及围绕新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情的未知变数。

由于广告支出下降，首要媒体两周前公布第五个季度亏损2954万令吉。营业额为2亿3844万令吉，除了数字媒体、内容创作和家庭购物台外，其他业务均下滑。

Free Malaysia Today昨日引述消息人士的话报道，首要媒体预计将在今年9月之前进行第二次裁员，将影响约300名员工。

去年3月，首要媒体旗下出版集团新海峡时报（NSTP）裁员543人。

（吉隆坡1日讯）首要媒体（Media Prima Bhd）收购家庭购物公司CJ Wow Shop的剩余股权。

首要媒体今日发布文告指出，此次收购是集团转型计划的一部分，目的是挖掘家庭购物和电子商务行业的强劲前景。

首要媒体通过Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Bhd向韩国娱乐公司CJ ENM Co Ltd（CJ ENM）收购MP CJ ENM私人有限公司（MP CJ ENM）的49%股权。

MP CJ ENM总执行长Yang Hyun Kim说：“CJ Wow Shop自4年前成立以来，已成为一个成功的家居商业品牌。我们将继续以CJ Wow Shop的成功为基础，利用其专业知识和基础设施，并通过其销售网络继续发展。”

首要媒体集团董事经理Datuk Iskandar Mizal Mahmood表示，CJ Wow Shop一直是并将继续是集团的主要增长领域之一。他说：“从过去几年和过去几个月的业绩来看，我们对这一领域的潜力充满信心。”

展望未来，Iskandar指出，Media Prima Television Networks将继续与CJ ENM合作，主要是在娱乐领域进行内容制作。

自推出电子商务网站和移动商务应用以来，CJ Wow Shop的下载量已达160万次。

首要媒体指出，CJ Wow Shop一直在通过电视和数字平台为集团产生非广告收入，2019年为集团收入贡献超过2亿3000万令吉。

CJ Wow Shop在2020财年上半年净赚630万令吉，一年前则净亏760万令吉，因2020财年上半年营业额上涨34%至1亿5280万令吉，之前报1亿1430万令吉。收益增长还得益于其电子商务和移动商务平台的销售额增长，这两项业务占总销售额的52%以上。

首要媒体今日以19仙平盘挂收，市值为2亿1075万令吉。过去一年，该股从48仙暴跌了60%。
