Description of Project and Services Provided:
Over the past 15 years, the State of Penang has enjoyed rapid economic growth due to its transformation from an
economy based predominantly on agriculture to one based largely on high technology manufacturing industry. The State
of Penang has become a focus for the state of the art electronics manufacture, helping to not only boost up the
Malaysian economy, but also indirectly bringing the name of “ Malaysia” to the eyes of the world.
Under the circumstances mentioned above, such advancements does not come without its drawbacks-increases in
population, both indigenous and transient necessitate the ever-greater movement of people and goods. Therefore, the
traffic volume on the Island has been growing at very high rate. This adds up to a worsening traffic problem with
pollution. Realizing this, the State Government of Penang has sought long to resolve its transportation needs both for
today and for the future. HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd (HSSI) were appointed as Consultants to undertake the Pre Feasibility
Study of the Proposed Penang LRT and given a notice to proceed by Penang Port Sdn Bhd in a letter dated 31st
October 2005. The time frame given for the study is six months up to the submission of the Draft Final Report effective
1st December 2005.

不同意! 槟城没能力建LRT! 除非私人sector支持。如私人sector支持,票價将成問題! |

要想两想先 。。。。 那些建屋子的都建到地下水严重流失鸟 。。。。 再建个地下铁, 会不会以后像星加波那样 ...

可以连去各大旅游胜地吗?例如gurney, queens bay, 极乐寺, 升旗山, Batu Ferringhi 等地。。。 |

不能把巴士和地铁拿来比较,
很多人不要踏巴士是因为巴士本身的问题, 不准时,有时慢
但是如果是地铁,每10mins 或者 5mins都一趟的话,准时,肯定很多人会用啦
我在KL也是用地铁但是没有用巴士 |
