马电讯国能执行全国光纤计划
加速覆盖范围 迈向数字经济

(吉隆坡16日讯)马电讯(TM,4863,主板贸服股)与国家能源(TENAGA,5347,主板贸服股)签署了解备忘录,携手制定实施计划,以执行全国光纤计划(NFP)。

马电讯与国能通过联合文告指出,双方已就此事在周二签署备忘录。

根据文告,这项合作将结合两家官联公司在覆盖范围、基建和专业知识的优势。

当中,双方所创造的协同效应,将打造一个最有效的成本结构,进一步加速光纤宽频网络的覆盖范围,符合政府要我国迈向数字经济的愿景。

此外,随着马电讯和国能推出该计划,将能确保我国基建的安全和保障。

文告提到,上述网络将开放给领域业者参与,以促进私人领域在零售宽频的竞争。

一旦敲定了商业条款,马电讯和国能将签署正式合约,届时才会做出进一步公布。

冯廷秀:合作省成本

对此 ,Inter Pacific研究主管冯廷秀接受《南洋商报》电访时表示,国能早前就已经表示,想要利用旗下的电线来传输网络,相信这一次的合作,马电讯将在“最后一里”衔接,将网络传送到各户。

“这是最节省成本的方法,能借助双方的优势完成合作计划。”

无论如何,他相信,这不会对电信领域带来太大激励,毕竟马电讯目前看似唯一最热诚要做这件事的业者。同时,这也不会对整体电信领域带来庞大的营业额。

与国能联营全国电缆化计划.马电讯评级不变

(吉隆坡17日讯)马电讯(TM,4863,主板贸服组)与国家能源(TENAGA,5347,主板贸服组)签署全国电缆化计划(NFP)联营备忘录,为该计划提供确定及透明度;同时分析员普遍认为,马电讯继续专注宽频汇合、潜在营收机会及更强劲的固定、流动结合服务产品优势,维持其良好评级不变。

马电讯与国能日前签署一项备忘录,以为联合发展及推行全国电缆化计划铺路。肯纳格研究指出,该行对这项最新发展持中和态度,并对2017及2018财政年财测维持不变,主要是它们尚待签署正式合约。

大马投行研究指出,上述联营计划将涉及善用资源分享如现有电缆网络、控制中心、其他输送系统及建立设施等领域。

肯纳格研究认为,这将集合两家政府相关公司(GLC)优势,包括覆盖能力、基建设施及专业,使它们达致一个最有效成本架构,以进一步加速大马电缆宽频网络覆盖能力。这两家公司有待签署正式合作合约。

兴业研究指出,马电讯与国能签署上述联营备忘录,将为全国电缆化计划提供一些确定及明朗度(包括之前传出政府另一家公司宽频网络公司(Broadnet))也可能涉及其中。

政府较早时宣布2017-2019年全国电缆化计划,以将600万家庭联系起来,包括为约200万个乡区家庭提供电缆化网络服务。

全国电缆化计划
分3阶段推行

肯纳格指出,上述全国电缆化计划将分成3个阶段推行,第一阶段是应用国能的电缆主干提供批发后勤服务、第二阶段则涉及批发服务供应商提供最后一里通路、第三阶段包括现有通讯公司提供零售服务予消费者及商家。这是配合政府在2017年财政预算案宣布2019年时,以更低价格把宽频速度加倍措施。

大马投行指出,上述计划配合政府欲推行全国电缆化的国内数码化计划、以及马电讯本身值110亿令吉的高速宽频计划。随着马电讯拥有向二线城市及乡区推行高速宽频计划1/2的经验,料将有助于推行第二项电缆计划,以进一步履盖未渗透市场。

兴业正面看待有关新发展,因将减少计划执行、融资及营运等风险。同时马电讯拥有推行大型宽频应用工程计划的专业,如完成推行高速宽频1/2计划。

兴业表示,目前市场尚不清楚宽频网络公司是否在全国电缆化计划扮演任何角色,因虽然在宽频领域没有营运记录,不过却拥有国家设施供应及国家服务供应者的执照,使它可以竞标宽频基建计划。

市场预测宽频网络公司最后可能与马电讯及国家能源及/或其他基建供应商合作,以降低执行及融资风险,特别是顾及整个计划规模及政府定下的时间表。

重新推介新Unifi-Mobile

马电讯将在下周重新推介新的Unifi-Mobile(之前为Webe)计划,之前后付计划(79令吉无限数据配套)已在今年1月12日结束。马电讯为兴业研究的首选股之一。

李文龙.马电讯的新机会

近年马电讯(TM,4863,主板贸服组)有点低调,缺乏重大企业活动,是个中主因。日前传出它涉足全国电缆化计划(NFP),使它再次引起市场目光。

马电讯再次成为焦点,主要关键是与全国电缆化计划有关,所以实有必要简介此计划前因后果及它对马电讯业务潜在影响。

全国电缆化计划是于去年酝酿,主要是协助政府加速推行宽频计划议程,通过3阶段在全国推动更高的宽频使用、履盖及速度。政府是要看到一个快速固定宽频互联网服务的速度倍增,不过它的收费不起反减,只收一半价钱,这就是政府所要的计划。

最重要的是,该计划放眼通过电缆化系统,把更高素质的宽频联系进入600万个家庭,包括200万个乡区家庭。市场初步估计,它涉及的价值介于100亿至120亿令吉。

这在在显示它的重要性及商业潜能,一旦落实,肯定对涉及业者——包括马电讯的业务前景带来重大变化,令人刮目相看。

目前通讯市场接近饱和,竞争激烈挤压赚幅及增加资本开销之际,全国电缆化计划无疑是通讯业者成长的新催化剂,为未来争取市场及消费者的关键所在。这是马电讯传出参与其中,即受市场注目原因。

之前,市场传出政府有意通过一家公司——宽网网络公司(Broadnet)与国家能源(TENAGA,5347,主板贸服组)合作推行这项计划。当时,市场对马电讯没有参与其中而感到担心,因将失去一项市场优势与主动权之余,也将浮现一个新的竞争对手。

由于涉及电缆输送讯息,这无异使拥有电缆设施及系统的马电讯及国家能源占有优势。马电讯与国家能源日前签署一项备忘录,以为推出具有成本效益高速宽频服务的策略合作铺路。

外汇盈余拉动.马电讯末季净利大起79.52%

(吉隆坡27日讯)在7480万令吉外汇盈余拉动下,马电讯(TM,4863,主板贸服组)截至2017年12月31日第四季净利大起79.52%,从前期的1亿5430万5000令吉增至2亿7701万4000令吉,全年净利也上扬19.81%至9亿2974万9000令吉。

末季营业额则因营运营业额减少,按年微挫1.15%至31亿9992万令吉,但全年营业额仍起0.2%至120亿8509万2000令吉。

派12.10仙股息

该公司董事部建议派发每股12.10仙第二中期股息,除权和享有日分别落在3月14日和16日。

马电讯董事经理兼首席执行员拿督斯里沙查理在文告中表示:“对马电讯来说,2017年是严峻,也是转型的一年。在我们‘Perfexe10’抱负下,我们专注关键绩效指标(KPI)及关键快乐指标(KHI)。”

整体来看,他认为,纵然营运环境严峻,但马电讯表现依旧稳定,传递健康营业额和获利表现。

“我们很高兴市场对集团去年落实的措施反映正面,其中家庭和流动通讯客户的牵引力有所强化。”

传递全方位数码生活方式

展望未来,沙查理表示,尽管市场竞争和挑战重重,集团预见2018年表现将可延续,而这将由优先向客户传递全方位数码生活方式服务,以及端对端商业解决方案的新执行模式推动。

同时,马电讯公布2018年和中期关键绩效指标(KPI),其中2018年目标为营业额增长3.5至4%、息税前盈利(EBIT)则与去年相同,消费者满意度则为74分,比2017年的逾73分为高;中期营业额增长目标为3.5至4%、EBIT增长3.5至4%,以及消费者满度为75分。

宽频用户超过230万人

回顾2017年,为加速品牌整合,马电讯已将旗下服务品牌整合成单一品牌,而Unifi将是提供家庭、流动通讯、wifi和电视服务的单一品牌。

目前,马电讯通过宽频、流动电讯和wifi等服务将Unifi覆盖网涵盖全国。截至2017年杪,马电讯总宽频用户超过230万人,其中家庭和中小型企业Unifi客户超过110万人,Unifi流动通讯服务则覆盖马电讯家庭的9.8%。

企业与公共领域客户服务则整合为“一个马电讯(TM ONE)”,马电讯以通过客制化垂直或领域相关解决方案来协助企业全面兑现数码机会,其中集团预见巴生河流域核心数据中心在2018年稍后时间完成后,数据中心业务需求将有所增加。

批发和全球业务整合成“马电讯全球(TMGlobal)”,马电讯预见相关业务潜存新增长机会,将继续通过连接服务以外的业务来创造营收。

马电讯2017财政年总资本开销为27亿6000万令吉,占营业额比重的22.8%,比第三季预估来得低,主要是内部对优先工程顺序进行调整。以资产类别来看,存取占总开销的42%,接着为核心网络和支援系统的34%和24%。

抢占光纤无法覆盖地区
7月将推出高速宽频新产品

马电讯计划在今年7月推出高速宽频新产品,同时,放眼增加更多的unifi用户。

马电讯首席执行员拿督斯里沙查理在业绩汇报会上指出,该公司考虑到光纤无法覆盖的地区,因此,推出新的高速宽频产品,以让消费者可以享用与光纤相同的服务。

他指出,马电讯希望在未来,让更多的现有网络用户,由当下的streamyx或unifi预用客户,提升至unifi用户。

“基于一些地区并不属于光纤覆盖范围,因此,我们推出了高速的宽频产品。”

沙查理也透露,在去年,由streamyx或unifi预用客户,提升至unifi的用户有20至30%,并计划在未来不再提供streamyx服务。

沙查理指出,当下马电讯在全国共有280万个光纤接头,目前尚有160万至180万个可供使用,预计每个可供6至7户家庭使用。

沙查理表示,马电讯进行的综合发展策略Perfexe10取得很好的回向。

马电讯首席财政员诺法稀拉表示,马电讯在2018财政年,预计配置占营业额超过20%的资本开支。

至于马电讯与国家能源(TENAGA,4863,主板贸服组)签署的全国电缆化计划(NFP)联营备忘录,沙查理表示,相信很快将做出详细公布。

最新进展

马电讯(TM,4863,主板贸服股)截至去年12月杪末季,净利暴涨79.5%,至2亿7701万4000令吉或每股7.37仙。

营业额却按年微跌1.2%,报31亿9992万令吉。

累计全年,净利按年扬19.8%,报9亿2974万9000令吉;营业额报120亿8509万2000令吉,按年微升0.2%。

行家建议

调整外汇和合理价值影响后,净利其实是按年跌17%,至2亿2200万令吉,归咎于移动业务成本攀升。

调整后的全年净利则按年微增1.8%,达8亿6320万令吉。

全年净利与营业额稍微低于预期,分别占预测的92%及95%。

这是因为用户人数、每名用户平均营业额(ARPU)、公共领域数据使用量和旗下大学学费走低。

2018财年关键绩效指标与去年相似,包括营业额年增3.5%至4%、扣除利息与税务前盈利与去年持平,以及客户满意度达到74分。

维持今明财年每股净利预测、“守住”评级和6.31令吉目标价。

Unifi家庭宽频和Unifi移动今年初至中推出数个新产品,降低亏损,预计是推动盈利增长的主力。

马电讯净利符预期.短期受webe亏损拖累

(吉隆坡28日讯)马电讯(TM,4863,主板贸服组)2017财政年净利表现符合市场预测,分析员看好其结合固定电话线和手机业务的经营模式,不过,短期内忧虑手机Unifi业务持续亏损将拖累公司表现。

马电讯2017财政年末季正常化核心盈利录得2亿2200万令吉,符合市场预测,同时宣布派发每股12.1仙股息;该公司在2017财政年,整合旗下服务至单一形体。

肯纳格研究认为,在2018财政年,马电讯的表现料维持稳定,主要是因为新的执行模式,即计划给予所有客户融合数码生活方式服务和端对端的业务解决方案服务。

尽管市场依然充满挑战,惟MIDF研究相信马电讯的Unifi用户和用户平均收益(APRU)将稳定增长。

MIDF认为,马电讯的宽频客户将由第二阶段高速频服务(HSBB)和近郊地区宽频工程(SUBB)推动。该公司管理层也计划在今年,推出更多的“手机Unifi”(前称webe)服务。

持续拓展LTE覆盖率

马电讯一直是兴业研究的首选本地电讯公司,主要是其业务结合固定电话线和手机服务,预计未来数月,将推出更多产品和服务。

肯纳格则认为,马电讯在固定线宽频业务上缺少竞争对手和正向融合业务佼佼者方向迈进将是利好。

达证券研究指出,马电讯在2018财政年,将持续配置资本开支作为拓展LTE覆盖率和扩建预计将于今年完成的巴生河流域核心数据中心之用。

马银行研究则认为,短期内,马电讯的盈利表现将减弱,主要是因为手机Unifi(webe)业务营运盈利持续面对亏损所致。

财测不出色

联昌研究基于马电讯的低营运盈利(EBITDA)赚幅,下调该公司2018至2019财政年财测,介于3.6%至5.3%,预计马电讯2018财政年核心每股盈利料仅走扬1.8%,2019至2020财政年料增长11.2至11.5%。

肯纳格则微调马电讯2018财政年核心净利2%,同时,预计2019财政年在营业额料增长4.6%的推动下,核心净利可增长2%至8亿7300万令吉。

达证券也指出,马电讯2018年的营运开销及折旧和摊销将促使税前盈利持平。

联昌预计,在2018财政年,马电讯的派息料维持在21.5仙,2019及2020财政年料可派息23.4仙和26.1仙。

根据文告,双方将结合优势与能力,加快全国宽频范围,及向大马人推广连接电子生活方式和物联网。

马电讯与华为将为企业和公共领域,带来电子方案、探讨优化网络的创新方案和执行活动。

同时,华为将分享经验,协助马电讯通过大数据辅助的网络设计与部署,迅速利用新兴商机、智能精明资本开销方案,来迎合客户需求;此外,也通过内部连接的资讯科技程序,简化双方的业务合作。

马电讯计划通过策略合作,追求科技创新与商业化,包括物联网、云端科技和人工智能,为更多大马人带来电子体验。

Dato' Sri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly is the MD/GCEO of TM since 1 May 2017. He was most recently the Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Corporate Executive Vice President (EVP) for Axiata Group Berhads South East Asia operations, after being promoted from his previous position as the CEO and director of Celcom Axiata Berhad (Celcom), a position he held from 1 September 2005 until 31 August 2016.Prior to his appointment at Celcom, he was the Chief Executive Officer of NTV7, Malaysia's 7th terrestrial TV station, a position he held for 8 years since its launch in 1998. Dato Sri Shazalli left his mark in the FMCG industry, prior to his service with NTV7. He served Unilever (1987 - 1993) both in Malaysia and Indonesia, followed by the Malaysian Tobacco Company (MTC) and British American Tobacco (BAT) (1993  1996) both in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. He also served as ASTRO Marketing Director for two years where he pioneered the launch of ASTRO digital satellite services in Malaysia.In recognition of his achievements, Dato Sri Shazalli was bestowed the Business Leadership Award 2009: Telecommunications Sector; 2010 as the Masterclass CEO of the Year by Malaysia Business Leadership Award and in 2012 CEO of The Year by PC.Com Readers Choice Awards. He was also conferred the ICT Personality of the Year at the PIKOM Leadership Awards Night in 2013, awarded Tokoh ANSARA in 2014 and Tokoh Alumni UiTM in 2016.

Datuk Bazlan began his career as an auditor with a public accounting firm in 1986. He served the Sime Darby Group, holding various finance positions in its corporate offices in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Melaka from 1989 to 1993. He then had a stint with American Express Malaysia Berhad before joining Kumpulan FIMA Berhad in 1994, where he was subsequently appointed Senior Vice President (SVP), Finance/Company Secretary. He joined Celcom Axiata Berhad in 2001 as the SVP, Corporate Finance and Treasury and was appointed the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2002 prior to his appointment as TM Group CFO in 2005. He also oversees the operations of Global Wholesale, Support Business and Multimedia University. He is the Chairman of Fiberail Sdn Bhd and sits on the board of several subsidiaries of TM Group including VADS Berhad, Universiti Telekom Sdn Bhd and Webe Digital Sdn Bhd.In 2015, he was named in the Global Telecomms Business 50 CFOs to Watch and was named Best CFO in Malaysia at the Southeast Asias Institutional Investor-Corporate Award 2016.

(吉隆坡7日讯)马电讯(Telekom Malaysia Bhd)在迪拜设立一家独资子公司,以专注于阿联酋、卡塔尔、巴林、科威特和阿曼等海湾国家的区域销售。

马电讯指出,注册为Telekom Malaysia DMCC的新子公司坐落在自由贸易区,迪拜多种商品交易中心(Dubai Multi Commodities Centre,DMCC)。

马电讯今日向大马交易所报备:“成立Telekom Malaysia DMCC,不会对公司截至今年12月杪财政年的盈利和每股净资产有任何实质影响。”

Telekom Malaysia DMCC的发行资本为5万阿联酋迪拉姆(5万4100令吉)。

FORMATION OF A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY, TELEKOM MALAYSIA DMCC IN DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to announce that Telekom Malaysia DMCC has been registered as a Company with Limited Liability on 23 May 2018 and that all the Requirements under the provisions of law No. (4) of 2001 and order dated 1 May 2002 in respect of Establishing Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority (DMCCA) has been satisfied.

Following thereto, TM has on 29 May 2018 been registered as the registered holder of the entire issued capital of 50 shares of AED1,000.00 each amounting to AED50,000.00, resulting in Telekom Malaysia DMCC becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of TM. Telekom Malaysia DMCC is based in Dubai’s free trade zone i.e. Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) which is an international trade hub of United Arab Emirates.

Rationale for the Formation
The formation of Telekom Malaysia  DMCC is part of TM’s global expansion effort to cover the Middle East markets and will assume the role of TM’s regional sales focusing on UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.

Financial Impact
The formation of Telekom Malaysia DMCC will not have any material effect on the earnings and net assets per share of TM for the financial year ending 31 December 2018.

Interest of Directors and Substantial Shareholders
None of the directors or major shareholders and/or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect in the formation of Telekom Malaysia DMCC.

This announcement is dated 7 June 2018.
