State Street Investor Confidence Index
Definition
The State Street Investor Confidence Index measures confidence by looking at actual levels of risk in investment portfolios. This is not an attitude survey. The State Street Investor Confidence Index measures confidence directly by assessing the changes in investor holdings of equities. The more of their portfolio that institutional investors are willing to invest in equities, the greater their confidence.


Why Investors Care
Conventional wisdom suggests investors are confident when stocks are rising and pessimistic when falling. But in fact, the State Street group notes prices tend to be higher when economic fundamentals are strong; i.e., when economic indicators are growing at a healthy clip. But a good investor confidence measure "should indicate whether, for a given set of fundamentals, investors are bullish or bearish on risky assets." State Street believes direct measurement, rather than a survey of portfolio managers who often don't have time to fill out monthly questionnaires, is a more reliable approach to consumer confidence. The investor confidence index is compiled with techniques based on modern portfolio theory. According to State Street, "the more of their portfolios that professional investors are willing to devote to riskier as opposed to safer investments, the greater their risk appetite or confidence." So when investors choose to increase their holdings of risky assets, this confirms their confidence has increased. Incidentally, State Street believes investor confidence can exist in a bear market as well as a bull market. Since market players have become so enamored with consumer attitude surveys, it probably would be useful for both professional portfolio managers and amateur investors to consider investor attitudes.

Market Consensus Before Announcement
The Conference Board's consumer confidence index advanced to 63.3 in May, up notably from April's 57.9. A big factor behind the improvement was greater optimism about the jobs market. The assessment of the jobs market has improved sizably for a third month with 43.6 percent describing jobs as currently hard to get, still a big number but well down from February's 47.3 percent. If the confidence index tracks last week's consumer sentiment index, we should see a modest rise for June.
Definition
The Conference Board compiles a survey of consumer attitudes on present economic conditions and expectations of future conditions. Five thousand consumers across the country are surveyed each month. While the level of consumer confidence is associated with consumer spending, the two do not move in tandem each and every month.  Why Investors Care

滿家樂3.33億天價轉手‧傳買家為李嘉誠

(吉隆坡)據傳,滿家樂一項以3億3300萬令吉天價賣出的產業計劃,買家為透過產業致富的香港富豪李嘉誠旗下公司。

《Financial Daily》報導稱,上述結合購物中心和辦公樓的“滿家樂第一”(1MK),刷新了滿家樂產業市場的紀錄。

滿家樂第一分別由新加坡嘉德置地和倫敦上市公司Aseana產業各持50%股權,目前由隸屬毅成建築(IREKA, 8834, 主板建筑組)旗下的毅成發展管理私人有限公司打理。毅成建築握有Aseana產業的約20%股權。

據稱,滿家樂第一的買家為附屬香港長江集團的產業基金管理公司。長江集團是李嘉誠的產業業務臂膀。

滿家樂第一的購物中心淨出租面積為25萬平方呎,辦公樓則是18萬平方呎。整體來看,淨租金平均可達每平方呎774.42令吉,而購物中心的租金較高。

有什么卡好介绍?我只是拿来还电费。
谢谢!

目前所知有关还电费有回扣如下:
1.hl wise,回扣10%,最高回扣100。
要求:至少10次50的transaction.
坏处:第一年,免年费。第二年和以后要还年费和政府税。
本人申请了,已得回扣300。

2.citibank giant,1-2%,最高回扣30.
坏处:1%回扣给消费少过800, 2%回扣给消费多过800。回扣是giant voucher,每20块会和月单寄给申请者。voucher只有申请者能用。
