我认识的钢铁业[公司打算上市]也类似你的情况--是有做赊账但只做特定大组--其他小组一律不收--SALEMAN负责喝酒应酬定定拿薪水--来现钱交易的价钱肯定要高过市场零售行情--就是给你有钱也未必买到那种。。。怡和钢铁[同音字]

没有帐期。

我公司软件开放的.这个月 0 SALES. 可怜...全部潜在客户都说..现在是守的时候,不是出钱的时候..都延迟了...

我家在金宝搞发展的,全面停工,银行不允许借钱,before and after的差别的大,工程得推迟半年到一年

建筑业在现在的情况是很冷清的...土地已经推平了,银行不批贷款,也没有人赞成继续...
我还是学生而已,等我尝试投资的路行不行了才回去吧

PIL and Wan Hai suspend Asia – Europe service
By Marcus Hand in Singapore - Friday 31 October 2008
PACIFIC International Lines and Wan Hai Lines are suspending their joint Asia – Europe service, and chartering slots from Cosco Container Lines instead.

In the latest cutback on the Asia – Europe trade. the Singapore and Taiwanese lines are suspending their own service from December.

Two of the smallest lines on the trade the move into the Asia – Europe trade in 2004 marked both PIL and Wan Hai’s first foray into the longhual mainline trades.

In a statement PIL and Wan Hai said that it had reached agreement with Coscon to buy slots on its Asia – Europe service, and loadings would start in December when their own service was suspended.

The Asia – Europe trade has collapsed dramatically this year with spot freight rates, excluding surcharges, falling to just a few hundred dollars per teu compared to $2,000 per teu at the end of 2007.

Operating smaller vessels than most on the trade PIL and Wan Hai would have faced higher slot cost pressures than many other lines.

The service suspension follows a slew of cutbacks on the trade by major lines.

NOL profit falls 82%
Neptune Orient Lines today posted net profit for the third quarter of US$35 million, down 82 percent from the same period a year ago. The Singapore-based company said it expects an operating loss in the fourth quarter as a result of the global economic slowdown.
Third-quarter revenues of US$2.4 billion were 16 percent higher than the previous-year quarter, as volumes carried by APL rose 10 percent, driven primarily by the intra-Asia trade as well as an increase in Asia-Europe and trans-Pacific backhaul volumes. Earnings before interest and taxes of US$52 million were off 75 percent from a year ago.
“Reduced demand in key trade lanes, combined with cost increases and worsening global economic conditions have adversely impacted our profit performance in the third quarter,” said Ron Widdows, NOL’s group president and chief executive. The company said it expects the recent collapse in world financial markets and resulting global economic
uncertainty to lead to lower demand for container-shipping services and reduced shipment levels and vessel utilization. “It is reasonable to expect a more pronounced and prolonged downturn than previously forecast for the container shipping industry,” NOL said in its statement… APL’s average third-quarter 2008 overall headhaul utilization level was 90 percent, compared to 99 percent in the 2007 quarter. Average revenue per FEU was 8 percent higher ye ar-on-year, reflecting continued fuel cost recovery measures.
Total revenue increased by 22 percent over the prior year to US$2.04 billion and by 28 percent year-todate to US$5.98 billion. Third-quarter pre-tax earnings fell to US$9 million, largely on lower core freight rates in the Asia-Europe trade and, increasingly, the long-leg intra-Asia trades, which have been impacted by capacity cascaded from other trades, principally Asia-Europe… APL Logistics delivered a 42-percent increase in pre-tax earnings, to US$17 million, although logistics revenues registered declined 1 percent decline to US$315 million. NOL to begin full lay-up of ships in bid to save $200m a yearNEPTUNE Orient Lines has started to lay up vessels, in an effort to save over $200m a year, and has warned that the boxship market faces much worse to come. NOL president and chief executive Ron Widdows told reporters yesterday that it would start to fully lay up some of its containerships from next week as it implements major capacity cuts.
The shipping company already has a number of vessels at anchor empty in Singapore waters, and is the first major line to say it will start the process of full lay up…NOL’s liner arm APL is reducing capacity by 25% in the Asia-Europe trade, around 20% in the transpacific trade, as well as unquantified changes to its presence in the intra-Asian trades.
NOL aims to save over $200m annually through savings in fuel, crew and other costs from laying-up ships, Mr Widdows explained. “It’s a substantial amount of cost,” he said. The amount which the company could save through returning ships to charterers was limited, however. Mr Widdows said that it would only return vessels where the charter was completed. Some companies are expected to try and renegotiate or break charter agreements as times get tougher. In total, NOL, along with alliance partners MOL and Hyundai Merchant Marine, will be taking around 40 ships out of service, the majority of which will be laid up. Mr Widdows said that a “little less than half” of the 40 vessels were operated by APL... (abridged, Lloyd’sList)

Dell 的 Announcement




槟城Dell还没有宣布。
不过Michael Dell说明了 Voluntary Unpaid Time-Off: Company-wide applicability for all position.

看来Dell 即将跟 Plexus一样,每个星期工作4天。
其中一天force 员工 on leave, paid leave 扣完,就unpaid leave.

Unpaid leave很伤的。一个月4天Unpaid Leave, 月薪几乎要少25%了。

虽然这几天马股在升,但是我一点都不乐观。。。
