Further to the ann-ouncement by MYEG dated 12 May 2020 on the launch of a one-stop portal for employers to manage the COVID-19 scree-ning for their workf-orce, the Board of Directors of MYEG (“the Board”) notes the Press Statement issued by the Social Security Org-anisation (“SOCSO”) on 13 May 2020 stati-ng that it has not established any coo-peration with MYEG for the implementation of the Prihatin Screening Programme. The Board wishes to clarify that MYEG did not enter into a collaboration with SOCSO in regards to the launch of its on-e-stop portal for employers to manage COVID-19 screening for their workforce. The Board wishes to clarify further that the Department of La-bour, Peninsular Mal-aysia (“the Depart-ment”) had in a lett-er to MYEG dated 8 May 2020, expres-sed its support for MYEG’s initiat-ive to launch a one--stop portal and di-gital certificate re-lated to the Prihatin Screening Programme to enable the De-partment to monitor compliance and aid enforcement actions with detailed imple-mentation steps to be worked out. MYEG’s one-stop port-al and digital cer-tificate initiative is a private initiat-ive to provide Malaysian employers a more convenient option to manage matters pertaining to COVID--19 screening, incl-uding engaging the services of MYEG to help ascertain the eligibility of their workers for the Pri-hatin Screening Prog-ramme​ and to sub-sequently arrange for on-site testing at their own business premises to be car-ried out by clinics that are on SOCSO’s panel. In this conne-ction, SOCSO is pr-esently not a direct partner in this private initiative. Upon completion of the tests, a digital testing certificate will be issued that is recognised by the Department for monitoring and enforcement purposes, in line with the requirements set by the Government for bu-sinesses to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic. Query Letter Contents	We refer to your Company’s announcements dated 12 May 2020 and 13 May 2020, in respect of the aforesaid matter. In this connection, kindly furnish Bursa Securities with the following additional information for public release:- 1) To clarify/state that the MyEG 1-stop portal is proprietary or related/connected with any other portal. 2) What is the function of this 1-stop portal in the light of Covid-19 screening. 3) Any existing or future plan of collaboration/arrangement with any party in relation to this 1-stop portal. 4) What is the relationship between MyEG 1-stop portal and the Government guideline or initiative for Covid-19 screening.
Reference is made to the announcements dated 12 May 2020 and 13 May 2020 and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s (“Bursa Securities”) query letter reference number IQL-15052020-00001, we set out our responses which are as follow:- 1. MYEG’s one-stop portal, which has been operating since 12 May 2020, is MYEG’s proprietary portal and is not integrated with any portal belonging to any other organisation. 2. MYEG’s one-stop portal allows all employers and employees, including foreign workers, to register for health screening as part of the compliance with the Government’s guideline for businesses to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic. For employers and employees who are eligible for free health screening, the cost of the health screening will be borne by the Government. Alternatively, employers and employees can opt to proceed with the health screening at their own expense. 3. At the date of this announcement, there are no existing or future plan to collaborate with any party in relation to MYEG’s one-stop portal. Should there be any further material development on this matter, the Company will release the necessary announcement in a timely manner to Bursa Securities. 4. As part of the compliance with the Government’s guideline for businesses to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic, all workers, including foreign workers, are advised to undergo a health screening to ensure that they are free from the COVID-19 virus. The one-stop portal created by MYEG is a private initiative to assist the Government to ensure that all businesses are able to comply with this guideline as part of the Government’s effort to control the spread of COVID-19 virus. The Board of Directors of MYEG (“The Board”) wishes to inform that on 21 May 2020, MYEG has received an official notification from the Government to continue with the provision of the E-Government Services until 30 June 2020. The Board wishes to further inform that on 22 May 2020, MYEG has received an official notification from the Government to continue with the provision of the Immigration Related Services until further notice. This is to allow the Government sufficient time to finalise the status of the extension of these Agreements subsequent to their expiry on 22 May 2020. Reference is made to the announcements dated 5 January 2017 on the acceptance of a Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of Home Affairs in relation to the provision of online renewal of temporary employment pass for foreign worker or “Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara (PLKS)" for the Immigration Department of Malaysia (“Immigration Related Services”) and 22 May 2020 on the extension of the Immigration Related Services until further notice (“the Extension”). The Board of Directors ("the Board") of the Company wishes to announce that on 1 July 2020, MYEG has received a notification letter dated 30 June 2020 from the Ministry of Home Affairs (“the Letter”) to extend the Immigration Related Services for a period of 3 years from 23 May 2020 to 22 May 2023. The estimated total value of the Immigration Related Services for the duration of 3 years is approximately RM208 million. The terms of renewal are not stated in the Letter and an agreement to formalise the Extension will be signed and announced by the Company in due course. The Board is of view that the Immigration Related Services is in the best interest of the Company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the Company for the financial years ending 31 December 2020 onwards.
