这句如果说sibu打算开第二间。。。。
也是有可能啊
第一间都在建了,还planning什么鬼?

还是新闻是2009年3月30?
然后next year 3rd quater是今年的3rd quater
这样的话,美里是第一间是对的
sibu那时候正在planning也是对的

可是permy mall建好了meh?

巨人的吹水程度有多高,略读几则相关新闻就可以知道了。。。

一次过在古晋开设6间霸市和超市,现在只说要开3间算客气了。。。

感觉上巨人有很多管理层,各说各话,不懂谁真谁假。。。

以下是另外一则新闻关于美里巨人霸市的报导:

GCH Retail to set up first Giant hypermarket in Miri, Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR: GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd will be spending RM12 million to set up its first Giant hypermarket in Miri, Sarawak within Permy Mall in Bandar Baru Permyjaya.

Its chief operating officer Tom Herriott said the hypermarket is expected to open in 3Q2010 when the mall opens.

He said Giant (the anchor tenant) and the array of trade mix at the mall such as a food court, international fast food franchises and fashion outlets would be pull factors for the mall.

He was speaking to reporters after a Tenancy Agreement signing between GCH Retail and Naim Realty Sdn Bhd on Tuesday March 30. Also present was Naim Holdings chairman Datuk Abdul Hamed Sepawi.

Naim Realty, which will be managing the mall, is a subsidiary of Naim Holdings Bhd, while GCH Retail is the operator of the Giant chain of hypermarkets. Permy Mall is a contemporary 2-storey shopping mall with a gross floor area of 269,000 sq ft spread over 8.5 acres and 560 internal car park bays. It has a net lettable area of 159,000 sq ft, of which 65,000 sq ft will be occupied by Giant. The building also houses 128 retail shops with sizes ranging from 200 to 12,000 sq ft.

Developed by Naim Holdings, Bandar Baru Permyjaya has a population of around 50,000. The township is about 15 minutes drive from the Miri town centre, 10 minutes drive from Lutong Town and about 20 minutes drive to the Sungei Tujuh immigration check point, Miri's gateway to Brunei.

Asked on plans to open new stores in Sarawak over the next 12 months, Herriott said: "We are always looking for sites. Nothing is finalised yet and everything is subject to approval. We would like to have at least another two stores in Sarawak."

There are currently 103 Giant stores in Malaysia.

这则新闻就没有提到巨人计划明年在诗巫设立另外一家霸市,反而说到巨人会在1年内至少设立2家新分行 (不包括美里霸市)。。。不懂是不同媒体的关系,还是。。。

65,000 sq ft .... 不算小,也不是很大
不过我喜欢permy mall的 店面 range 竟然有到12 000 sq ft

竟然还比sibu/kuching的快
真的是当sarawak人 sot的啊?
还是版主的email准确些
不错嘛,现在sarawak快要变成sabah lo

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, which operates the Giant, Guardian and Cold Storage outlets, has signed a 15-year tenancy deal with Naim Realty (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to open its second hypermarket in Sarawak.

Naim Realty is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Naim Holdings Bhd.

The proposed Giant hypermarket located in Miri, will be completed by mid-July next year and is expected to create more than 200 jobs after it's opened.

"We have invested more than RM12 million in the Giant Permy Mall, a two-storey shopping mall with a gross floor area of 269,000 sq ft over 8.5 acres (3.44ha)," said GCH Retail chief operating officer Tom Herriott after the signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
The event was witnessed by Miri City Council mayor Lawrence Y.S. Lai.

He said the hypermarket in Miri is the second after Sibu in Sarawak, which is slated to be operational by next year.

"We are also looking at building a third hypermarket in Kuching and are presently scouting for the right location," Herriott said.

The new hypermarket in Miri is located within Naim Realty's Bandar Baru Permyjaya development, which has a population of 50,000.

There are 121 Giant hypermarkets throughout Malaysia today.

哇。。。。。这也难怪我一直听到permy mall内部说道有霸市有霸市。。来自巨人。。。

可惜新闻, 巨人内部发出的消息都不准,这就要等时间了,说到mydin,我还没听说~
我希望的,就是sarawak各地都有各自的巨人霸市就很好了!

最近看的新闻,每个都是信不得的。。。。
好乱。。。。。。。。。

这个新闻则说,sibu还是一样,的却是砂首间霸市!
但是美里竟然是砂第二间霸市。。。我相信Permy Mall 一定会有霸市因为构造图都已出,有一半的却是给霸市的!
奇怪的是,古晋竟然是第3间?We are also looking at building a thirdhypermarket in Kuching and are presently scouting for the rightlocation," Herriott said.

地点都还没有找到? 还在Looking ??太奇怪了种种不一样的新闻

我看巨人應該改名成為"吹牛霸市"了!因為巨人公司每到一個地方開新聞發佈會都說了不一樣的話!真的很難相信他們公司的標準到底在哪裡!其實我真的明白美里的巨人和古晉和詩巫的巨人到底分別在那裡了!美里那裡的巨人是寄人離下的巨人霸級市場。而古晉和詩巫的巨人則是一棟獨立式的大型Giant Mall了!

詩巫的是圓頂的...古晉的是四四方方的...

我看是GCH内部的人把GIANT MALL跟GIANT HYPERMARKET搞混了我们也很乱,像KK有七八间的GIANT HYPERMARKET可是只有一间GIANT KELOMBONG MALL,其他两间是在SANDAKAN和TAWAU,所以诗巫的那间是SARAWAK首间GIANT MALL,美里那间是SARAWAK首间GIANT HYPERMARKET,至於GIANT HYPERMARKET会在诗巫再开一间或者在古晋开多几间也是有可能的只要有够大的SHOPPING MALL他们还是会进来租的

為什麼我左看右看都覺得詩巫的哪間巨人比我們古晉的這間巨人好看多呢?古晉的巨人建得比較像大型的倉庫!而詩巫的巨人則建得比較美和比較像購物商場!
