报名限制   ：为了提高比赛的可看性，报名队伍需要拥有国家级或州级球员水准（外国选手与非国州高手被允许参赛）。槟城乒乓公会拥有通过或否决队伍报名的最后决定权。

2009 MWE PENANG INVITATION TABLE TENNIS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

PROSPECTUS
1. The Sponsor & Organizer

The 2009 MWE Penang InvitationTable Tennis Open Championships is sponsored by the MWE Holdings Berhad andorganized by the Penang Table Tennis Association.

2. Date and Venue ofCompetition

The championship will be heldon 6 December 2008 (Sunday) at theDewan Tunku, Geodesic Dome, KOMTAR, Jalan Penang, 10000Pulau Pinang.

3. Rules & Regulations

The competition shall beconducted in accordance with the current ITTF rules and the followingregulations.

4. Competition Format

4.1. The Olympic TeamCompetition System will be adopted.

1	Single	A	X
2	Single	B	Y
3	Double	C/A or C/B	Z/X or Z/Y
4	Single	A or B  (non-playing Doubles)	Z
5	Single	C	X or Y  (non-playing Doubles)

4.2. Each team match consistsof the best three out of five matches. Each match shall be the best of fivegames with eleven points in each game.

4.3. The competition shallconsist of two stages: First stage (round robin system) to decide grouppositions of 1 to 4 and the Second Stage (round robin) whereby the 1stand 2nd teams of both groups will play to decide the final positionsof 1 to 4, the 3rd and 4th teams of both groups will playto decide the final positions of 5 – 8.

5. Equipment

40mm 3-star Butterfly orange ball


6. Entries & Eligibility

6.1. 16 teams shall beinvited to participate in this competition.

6.2. All teams must registertheir players in the official entry form. Change of player is allowed beforethe commencement of the tournament.

6.3. Each team is allowed toregister a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players.

6.4. Each team may register NOT more than ONE player from FOREIGNcountries other than SEA countries.

7. Team Uniforms

7.1. All team players mustwear their team playing T-shirts and short for all matches

7.2. All team officials andplayers must wear their team uniform (preferably track-suits) for the Openingand Closing Ceremony. Teams failed to attend the closing ceremony will havetheir deposit forfeited by the organizer.

8. Closing Date

All teams must send in theofficial entry form together with an entry fee of RM100.00 and a deposit ofRM300.00 payable to Penang Table Tennis Association. The closing datefor entries is 15 January 2010.

9. Accommodation

Accommodation shall NOT be provided by the organizer. Teams which require booking of the hotel accommodation can contact theofficial-in-charge, Mr. Pedly Khoo Aik Loon (Tel: 016-4977966) or Mr. Ho Chih Wei ( 012-5649255 ) for further details.


10. Appeal or Protest

10.1. Appeal or protest shallbe notified in writing to the Chief Referee stating clearly the nature ofappeal or protest together with a deposit of RM100 within 30 minutes after theconclusion of match.

10.2. If it is resolved thatsuch appeal or protest is unfounded, the deposit shall be forfeited. The jury’sdecision in respect of appeal or protest shall be final.

11. Awards

11.1. Prizes shall be given tothe winning teams as follow:


Champion

: RM5000.00 + trophy

Runner-up

: RM2000.00 + trophy

Third Position
:RM1000.00 + trophy

Fourth Position

: RM800.00 + trophy

Fifth Position
:RM600.00 + trophy

Sixth Position
:RM400.00 + trophy

Seventh Position
:RM300.00 + trophy

Eighth Position
:RM200.00 + trophy

Ninth Position
:RM150.00 + trophy

Tenth Position
:RM100.00 + trophy

12. Other Matters

Any matter not provided for inthe foregoing regulation shall be decided by the organizer whose decision shallbe final.

为了配合2009年尾各大体育赛事，WME乒乓邀请赛已经改期了， 改到了2010年1月31日 （星期日）。

肯定出席的外国球队有来自新加坡和印尼。至于台湾与中国的队伍则出席的机会也蛮高下。

为了吸引更多的国外选手， 槟城乒乓公会主席Dato Michael Tiah 特地将原本三千元的奖金提高到五千元。

届时希望各位乒乓爱好者可以过来观赛，如果想过来看球却由交通或住宿问题的，可以联络我，让我为你们安排安排。

我也是觉得新加坡的两队很强，至于印尼就只有看看他们在最后一分钟有没有将最强的球员带过来。旺角Wong Kok 增加了位球员，他家猜猜看他是谁？
他就是Chai Kian Beng 蔡建明。。。那么这一队有机会夺冠吗？

（槟城26日讯）槟城乒乓总会精心策划的2010年MWE乒乓邀请赛定于本月31日（星期日）响亮上演，为本地乒坛在进入新的一年一开始掀起乒乓热潮。

       这项由槟城乒乓总会主办的赛会为期一天，即在当天在上9时正在槟城钟灵独中礼堂开始。贵为槟州乒坛威望崇高的MWE邀请赛号召力强，本次赛会吸引来自海内外共16支队伍同场竞技，其中，多位现役及前国州手届时将会赴约。这包括港在去年称霸全国乒乓公开赛冠军的前国手陈冠华，马来西亚现役国手蔡健明与许茂盛。至于新加坡球队获得国家后备队， 而一些参赛队伍也拉拢了中国球员助阵，预料届时将掀起连连精彩好戏。

       本次比赛设有丰厚奖金，冠军5000令吉，亚军2000令吉，季军1000令吉，殿军800令吉，第5至第8名依序为500令吉，400令吉，300令吉及200令吉。第9名至第16名则获得奖杯一座。

      槟城乒乓总会欢迎州内的乒乓发烧友前来观赛，入场免费。槟城乒乓总会也派遣槟城马运会队参与其盛。
