The Board of Directors of AEM is pleased to announce that AE Resources Development Sdn Bhd (“AER”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AEM had on 16 October 2019 received and accepted the LOA dated 7 October 2019 from VCSB,  a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vertice Berhad (“Main Contractor”) appointing  AER as sub-contractor for the following works: Project description : Supply labour/workers, materials, tools, equipment, machinery and all necessary for the earthworks, civil and structural works, mechanical and electrical work in relation to the design and construction of a palm oil mill with biogas plant system, polishing plant and composting plant at Sabah. Contract timeframe : 24 months from the date of vacant possession, which is to be determined later Contract payment terms : RM % Deposit 9,263,925 30 Balance month  on progress claim 21,615,825 70 Total project value (“Sub-Contract Sum”) 30,879,750 100 The total value of certified workdone shall be subject to retention of 10% and is limited to 5% of Sub-Contract Sum. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of AEM and its subsidiaries (“Group”) for the duration of the contract and will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding of the Company. The contract will also not have any effect on the consolidated net assets of the Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2019. None of the directors or substantial shareholders of AEM or persons connected to them has any interests, whether direct or indirect, in the contract. This announcement is dated 16 October 2019.
