Most of those shit PRs come from 3rd world countries where there is no property tax and there is no centralised database of house ownership. In the 1st place, what makes Mabok think that foreign govts will provide evidence to penalise their own citizens?! The foreign govts also don’t know who exactly owns which particular house, how to confirm?! Many of those 3rd world local govts at the county or district level still record on paper, using pieces of jotter books and exercise books, completely in a mess after 2 years. The other family members of those PRs can just easily claim that the foreign houses belong to them. If I was one of these PRs, I will surely take the risk to say that I don’t have any house or l and ownership. And I will buy at maximum loan and immediately rent out all the rooms and even living room also. In fact I will already gather all my kaki nang villager tenants before looking for flat to buy. If I get into trouble, I will simply take 1-way ticket home. 99% chance I will get away with it and still make big money when I sell the flat later. Better than casino!! You cannot even check if your BF/GF is legally married to someone else back his/her hometown….. The world outside is different from what you have, or seen in singapore……. There is no way to verify property ownerships. Need prime examples? The scandals of ex-presidents of Taiwan, Philippines and Indonesia have said much. When will PAP stop insulting Singaporeans? |
