Reference is made to the announcement dated 18 July 2019. Unless otherwise stated, defined terms used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as those used in the announcement.

The Board of Directors of Supermax Corporation Berhad ("Supermax") wishes to provide the following additional information for the Proposed Acquisition:-

The Purchase Consideration of RM65.0 million for the acquisition of a piece of freehold land with industrial premises located at Lot 43816 Mukim Kapar (“Property”) was arrived at after considering:

  • Valuation Report prepared by Jones Lang Wootton (“JLW”)
  • Guaranteed rental income of minimum RM1.5 million and maximum of RM3.0 million
  • Strategic location of property neighbouring our existing cluster of manufacturing plants in Meru, Klang.

JLW has in their valuation report dated 30 May 2019 opined that the Market Value of the interest in perpetuity in the Property is RM63.0 million.  In arriving at their opinion, they had adopted the Cost Approach, which is defined as the aggregate amount of the value of the land component and the gross replacement cost of the buildings and other site improvements, allowing for depreciation.  The land components were derived by using the Comparison Approach, where comparison is made with sales of other similar properties. Where dissimilarities exist, adjustments are made.

While the valuation report supports a market value of RM63.0 million, a premium of RM2.0 million was accorded to the final purchase consideration of RM65.0 million after also taking into account 2 other important factors.

One is the Tenancy Agreement for a part of the land together with the industrial premises signed in escrow by Leader Cable and Maxter whereby the former would pay the latter a minimum rental sum of RM1.5 million (being rental for a minimum of 6 months at a monthly rate of RM250,000), up to a maximum rental sum of RM3.0 million (being rental for a maximum of up to 12 months at a monthly rate of RM250,000).  The other is the strategic location of the property as it neighbours our existing cluster of plants in Meru, Klang, covering Lots 6058, 6059, 6061, 6068, 6069 & 6070, which will ease managing the operations of the plants within a location.

生产提高+成本优化‧速柏玛末季多赚59%

(吉隆坡30日讯)速柏玛(SUPERMX,7106,主板医疗保健组)在致力提高生产效率和成本管理优化下,截至2019年6月30日末季净利按年增长58.95%,至1505万9000令吉,前期为947万4000令吉。

半年赚1.24亿

上半年净利为1亿2375万4000令吉,比前期1亿零665万5000令吉,增长16.03%。

次季营业额按年增长14.12%,至3亿7596万4000令吉,前期3亿2945万6000令吉;上半年营业额累积14亿8931万6000令吉,对比前期13亿零446万令吉,增长了14.17%.

该公司通过文告指出,对于橡胶手套行业而言,2019上半年是一个充满挑战的时期,在面对不断上涨成本尤其是天然乳胶,公司将在一段滞后期后将成本增加转嫁给客户。

文告显示,该公司希望能够凭借其强大的品牌、全面的全球分销网络和庞大的客户群,度过充满挑战的时期。

一次性乳胶和丁腈手套的全球市场依然强劲,速柏玛将继续专注于通过各种措施提高效率,包括旧厂房的重置和重建计划及目前处于建设中的12号新厂,以攫获全球需求。

此外,该公司计划接下来扩建12号新厂取得下一阶段产能增长,并已在巴生收购一块土地,计划建造13号、14号和15号厂房,以在5年内取得超过60%的产能增长,至年均440亿件。

隐形眼镜业务方面,该公司将继续致力获取更多国家的许可和批准及进一步扩大其产品范围,包括镜片类型如彩色镜片,并提高其全球产品的市场渗透率。

受惠美中争端·速柏玛对美出口可增10%

(吉隆坡6日讯)美国针对中国制造手套征收高达25%税务,速柏玛(SUPERMX,7106,主板医疗保健组)预期大马手套业者可从中受惠,预期速柏玛出口至美国手套量可再增加10%,未来4年将拨出11亿令吉充作资本开销。

未来4年拨11亿资本开销该公司创办人拿督斯里郑金升在业绩汇报会上表示,根据美国办事处的回应,当地政府针对来自中国制造的医疗手套征收额外15%税务,而工业手套税务增幅则是25%,此举有利于大马制造业者。

速柏玛目前出口至美国手套比例为30%,郑金升表示,未来将提高产能以应付出口至美国需求,预期未来出口至美国的比例将再增加10%。

郑金升说,速柏玛27%业务来自欧洲贡献,虽然英国脱欧事件导致英镑甚为动荡,但当地的工作人员表示,反而涌现商机及就业机会,且英镑最终会恢复稳定。

产能方面,郑金升表示,该公司12号工厂部份产线即将投运,预期2020财政年下半年时可全面投运,届时手套年产能可达44亿只。

郑金升补充,未来规划13号至15号工厂的资本开销总额为5亿5000万令吉,预期2024财政年时,产能可再提高61%。

“其他资本开销则用于提升及翻新老旧的产能。”

隐形眼镜业务销售改善有关隐形眼镜业务方面,郑金升表示,这项新业务的营业额贡献比重不足2%,虽然仍在亏损中,但销售改善不断,过去5个月在日本的销售取得不俗的表现。

郑金升认为,以速柏玛不断扩展产能而言,相信未来可保持现有的营运盈利赚幅。

2019财政年,速柏玛营运赚幅为15.8%。

(吉隆坡10日讯)速柏玛(SUPERMX,7106,主板医疗保健组)扩建新厂料可改善营运效率并抬拉赚幅,再加上美国需求增加,肯纳格研究预期该公司盈利将改善,以及有望派发库存股给股东。

肯纳格参与该公司分析员汇报会后表示,预期该公司第12号厂在2021年全面投运后,赚幅可改善,管理层预期营运赚幅可提高至20%,相比该行仅保守预测16%。

肯纳格说,该公司扩展与提升的计划包括,双溪毛糯厂生产线从12条增加至20条、12号厂全面投运下,预期2020年杪年产能将增加30%至274亿只。

此外,该公司未来5年将会增加新产线和兴建3间新厂,资本开销高达12亿令吉。

短期来说,假设每1000只手套销售价格为22美元,净利赚幅为9%,以75%的使用率及第12号厂生产44亿只手套来计算,预期2021财政年可带来2700令吉净利,占该行2021年财测的20%。

肯纳格补充,该公司目前的库存股达5400万股,若以股代息,相等于每股6.2仙,或4.1%的净周息率。

综合上述观点,肯纳格决定将2020年的本益比估值维持在17.5倍,目标价从1令吉70仙调高至1令吉75仙,保持“超越大市”评级。

该股的利好因素包括目前股价比同行平均价折价40%,相比过往折价为30%,以及是美元走强的主要受益者,因该公司的销售收款未作任何对冲。
