南无观世音菩萨

人的痛苦，除了烦恼之外。宿命论或决定论者（predestination and determinism）, 以为有一个万物的主宰在指挥人的命运和前途，於是在心中，头上安头，本来烦恼的心，现在因为宗教的信仰而更加烦恼。


People not merely suffers from defilement. People who subscribe to ideology of fatalism or the believe of Predestination and Determinism, thought that there is a master who govern people’s fate and destiny, hence, on top of the already defiled mind, the defilement become even more intense due of the religious beliefs.

南无观世音菩萨

我们看佛相，看西方三圣时，在中间的一位，毫无疑问大家都知道是阿弥陀佛。在右边的一位是观世音菩萨；而在左边的这一位叫做大势至菩萨，也就是密宗的金刚手菩萨。


When we look at the image of Buddha, the holy triad of the west, in the middle, there is no doubt everyone knew is Amitabha, on the right you have Guan Yin Bodhisattva; and on the left is Mahastamaprapta Bodhisattva, in tantric it's known as Vajrapani Bodhisattva.

大势至的意思，便是具有大威德神力；势力的意思。大势至的一举手，一投足，震动宇宙间的魔王的教理，运用这个势力能够成办一切所應作的事。


The meaning of Mahastamaprapta, it has the power of great virtue; the meaning of power. When Mahastamaprapta raise its hand, or every single movement, it will shake the demon realm, using this tremendous power enable to carry what should be done.

那么，什么力量才会产生大势至呢？大势至观经上面说：以智慧之光普照一切，令众生远离贪嗔痴三毒之苦。得无上力，故名大势至。


Then, what power will bring rise to Mahastamaprapta? In The Sutra On Contemplation Of Amitayus: it is said that the light of wisdom shines on everything, allowing the sentient beings to stay far from the sorrow of greed, anger, and ignorance. Gaining unlimited power, therefore the name of Mahastamaprapta.

人的心理现象，不好捕捉，似有似无。人的清净本性，是心理现象中最难以捕捉的现象之一。有时不去理它，它却自然显现而人不自知；有时倾全力去追寻它，它却不知在何处。


It is hard to capture a person's psychological phenomenon, as it is faintly discernible. The nature of purity (true-self) is one of the hardest psychological phenomena to capture. Sometimes to ignore it, it manifests naturally without being realised; sometimes to seek for it wholeheartedly, it is nowhere to be found.
