华特迪士尼公司（簡稱迪士尼；英語：The Walt Disney Company，TWDC，1995年以前中国大陸譯作沃尔特迪斯尼，臺灣譯作華特狄斯奈，香港譯作和路迪士尼）是世界上第二大传媒娱乐企业，1923年由华特·迪士尼与兄长洛伊·迪士尼創立。

華特迪士尼公司旗下的電影發行品牌有：华特迪士尼影片（Walt Disney Pictures），试金石影片（台：正金石，Touchstone Pictures），好莱坞影片（Hollywood Pictures），米拉麦克斯影片（Miramax Films），和帝门影片（台譯：次元影業，Dimension Films）。华特迪士尼、试金石、好莱坞三个品牌与金牌电影制作人杰瑞·布洛克海默有过十余次合作。迪士尼与皮克斯、吉卜力有发行方面的合作。

华特迪士尼公司拥有迪士尼乐园度假区、华特迪士尼世界，授权经营巴黎迪士尼度假區、東京迪士尼度假區和香港迪士尼度假區。

1923年: The Disney Bros. studio, founded by Walt and his brother 洛伊·O·迪士尼, produces the Alice in Cartoonland series
1927年: The Alice series ends; Walt picks up the contract to animate Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
1928年: Walt loses of the Oswald series; 出品影史上第一部有声卡通片《汽船威利号》，由米老鼠主演。
1929年: First Silly Symphony: The Skeleton Dance
1930年: First appearance of 布鲁托

1940-1966
1940年: Studio moves to the Burbank, California buildings where it is located to this day
1941年: A bitter animators' strike occurs; as 美国 enters 二战, the studio begins making morale-boosting propaganda films for the government
1944年: The company is short on cash; a theatrical rerelease of 白雪公主 generates much-needed revenue and begins a reissue pattern for the animated feature films
1945年: The studio hires its first-ever live actor for a film, James Baskett, to star as Uncle Remus in 南方之歌
1949年: The studio begins production on its first all-live action feature, 金银岛; the popular True-Life Adventures series begins
1954年: The studio founds 'Buena Vista Distribution Company, Inc.' to distribute its feature films; beginning of the Disneyland TV program
1955年: Opening of 迪士尼乐园 in Anaheim, California
1961年: The studio licenses the film rights to 小熊维尼, whose characters continue to be highly profitable to this day; international distribution arm Buena Vista International is established
1964年: The company starts buying land near Orlando, Florida for 华特迪士尼世界
1965年: The regular production of short subjects ceases, as theatres no longer have any demand for them
1966年: 华特迪士尼去世

1967-1984
1967年: Construction begins on 华特迪士尼世界; the underlying governmental structure (see Reedy Creek Improvement District) is signed into law
1971年: 华特迪士尼世界 opens in Orlando, Florida; Roy Oliver Disney dies
1977年: 洛伊·E·迪士尼, son of 洛伊·O·迪士尼 and nephew of 华特迪士尼, resigns from the company citing a decline in overall product quality
1978年: The studio licenses several minor titles to MCA Discovision for laserdisc release; only TV compilations of cartoons ever see the light of day through this deal
1979年: Don Bluth and a number of his allies leave the animation division; the studio releases its first PG-rated film, 黑洞
1980年: Tom Wilhite becomes head of the film division with the intent of modernizing studio product; a home video division is created
1981年: Plans for a cable network are announced
1982年: EPCOT Center opens at 华特迪士尼世界
1983年: As the anthology series is canceled, 迪士尼频道 begins operation on US cable systems; Tom Wilhite resigns his post; 东京迪士尼乐园 opens in Japan
1984年: 试金石影片 is created; after the studio narrowly escapes a buyout attempt by Saul Steinberg, 洛伊·E·迪士尼 and his business partner, Stanley Gold, remove the current board of directors, replacing them with Michael Eisner, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Frank Wells

1985-1999
1985年: The studio begins making cartoons for television; The home video release of 木偶奇遇记 is a best-seller
1986年: The studio's first R-rated release comes from 试金石影片; the anthology series is revived; the company's name is changed from Walt Disney Productions to The Walt Disney Company.
1989年: Disney offers a deal to buy Jim Henson's Muppets and have the famed puppeteer work with Disney resources; the Disney-MGM Studios open at 华特迪士尼影片
1990年: Jim Henson's death sours the deal to buy his holdings; the anthology series canceled for second time

1996年: The company takes on the "Disney Enterprises" name and acquires the 美国广播公司 television network and Jumbo Pictures; in December, Michael Ovitz, president of the company, leaves "by mutual consent"
1997年: The anthology series is revived again; the home video division releases its first DVDs
1998年: Disney's Animal Kingdom opens at 华特迪士尼世界

2000-present
2001年: Disney-owned TV channels are pulled from Time Warner Cable briefly during a dispute over carriage fees; Disney's California Adventure opens to the public; Disney begins releasing Walt Disney Treasures DVD box sets for the collector's market
2003年: 洛伊·E·迪士尼 again resigns as head of animation and from the board of directors, citing similar reasons to those that drove him off 26 years earlier; fellow director Stanley Gold resigns with him; they establish "Save Disney"[1] to apply public pressure to oust Michael Eisner
2003年: 加勒比海盗 becomes the first film released under the Disney label with a PG-13 rating
2004年:
The studio breaks off renegotiation talks with 皮克斯 (their current contract expires in 2006); Disney announces it will convert its 迪士尼动画片场 to all computer-animated production
Announced the closure of their florida feature-film animation department;
Comcast makes a $66 billion unsolicited bid to buy The Walt Disney Company (Comcast withdraws its bid in April);
Disney purchases rights to The Muppets;
沙漠奇兵 is the second real PG-13-rated flick to be released by Walt Disney Pictures,但是后来改由试金石影片发行;
Company stockholders give Michael Eisner a 43% vote of no confidence; as a result, Eisner is removed from the role as chairman of the board (but maintains his position as CEO) and George J. Mitchell becomes chairman in his place.
