Ok simple example.
2000 - 2007 europe, China and US economy were very good.
Many companies invested in shipping market and they build a lot of new vessel to ship the goods.
Nevertheless, the overspending in Europe and US countries had triggered the debt crisis.
Demand has slumped, in order to fill up the space they couldn't able to adjust the freight rate in such of the competitive market. The oil surcharge is not enough to cover their cost.
GIVE YOU A VERY SIMPLE EXAMPLE,
15 years before IT products were very expensive. The IT companies making a lot of money. 2000 - 2001 Tech bubbles. Investor had realized that IT were overvalue. After the bubbles the only survivors were those companies with good management. Many loser bankcrupt and left the IT field.
So the shipping market is waiting for the cycle to be end. When demand = supply I think shipping market can be back to the normal. |

长话短说。。。每个BUBBLE时机有好有坏。。没有好的管理系统的公司就会OUT。。好的公司就会留下来。。然后可以更加COMPETITIVE了。。。这次对不对？  |
